Body Paragraph
The Giver is set in a society where everything is controlled, including emotions and memories. The main character, Jonas, is chosen to receive all the memories of the past from the Giver. What I liked about the book is that it explores the themes of individuality, freedom, and the importance of memories. It made me think about the value of experiencing both the good and bad in life. As for what I didn't like, I found some of the parts of the story to be quite intense and dark.
