Community Service Opportunities for Teens 

The Brentwood Public Library offers both virtual and in-person community service opportunities to Brentwood School District residents ages 13-17. Check our Current Newsletter or Programs & Events Calendar for community service programs happening in the library. Getting a library card is easy! Virtual Community Service for Teens 

The following activities will be accepted for virtual community service credit. All online community service submissions will be considered for our quarterly Teen Zine. Patrons are limited to a maximum of 10 virtual community service hours per month. 

GUIDELINES FOR VIRTUAL COMMUNITY SERVICE 

  • Book review
    • 1 hour earned per review
    • Must be at least 12 sentences to receive credit 
  •  Review of an episode of the Average Brentwood Teens Podcast
    • 1 hour earned per review
    • Must be at least 8 sentences to receive credit
  • Poetry
    • 1 hour earned per poem
    •  Must be at least 10 lines long to receive credit
  • Original Artwork
    • 1 hour earned per art piece
    • Submission photo must be clear

The library reserves the right to decline submissions that do not meet established standards or are suspected to have been generated using artificial intelligence.
