Local History

Originally established by a donation of materials from historian Verne Dyson (author of A Century of Brentwood), the Brentwood Local History Room contains books, primary sources, and artifacts documenting the history of Brentwood and the Village of Modern Times as well as Long Island, Suffolk County, and New York State. You are welcome to explore the collection and archives and discover unknown materials with the aid of a librarian.
