The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is a classic novel that is set during the roaring twenties, a time of jazz, opulence, and social change and the economy is doing great during this time. The story revolves around Jay Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire, and his pursuit of the American Dream and the story is being told through one of the characters Nick Carraway. What I like about the novel is that it is rich in symbolism, and it's shown many times throughout the story. In conclusion The Great Gatsby is an amazing novel for high school students to read and offers a glimpse into the past.
