Body Paragraph
Fences.jpg

The title of my book was Fences. I loved reading this because it was written in a play form which is one of my favorite styles of literature. The book was about a man with a family named Troy who worked as a garbage man, he dealt with black oppression his whole life from sports as a young boy to work as a grown man. His son Cory loves to play football, but Troy hates it because he believes Cory is going to be treated the same way as Troy was when he was younger. Cory and Troy argued often until one day Cory left to go into the Army. Cory resents Troy for this until they both grow older. One unfortunate day Troy passes and Cory realizes a lot of things. He then learns to love what good memories he had left with his dad, he understands it was never to hurt him, just protect him.
