“The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak is a tale about a time of war and fear. The main character is a young woman called Liesel Meminger who lived in the holocaust era under Nazi rule. This book is a story of love and grief, and Death is the storyteller. Through Liesel’s experience, I realized that our spirits are unbeatable no matter how difficult the situation is. I liked the unique way this story is narrated.
