Get ready for a vibrant, fun-filled summer at the Brentwood Public Library! The Summer Reading Challenge is here, and below is a variety of exciting programs and events to make this season unforgettable!

END OF SUMMER READING CLUB MOVIE EVENT
For all ages (must be accompanied by an adult if under the age of 13)

Celebrate a summer of reading success! Join us for our End of Summer Reading Club Movie Event. Relax, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the fun film Mufasa as a thank you for all your reading adventures.

COLOR OUR WORLD: SUMMER ACTIVITY CHALLENGE 2025
Ages birth-12 years
Friday, June 13-Friday, August 22
Color your world at the library this summer with our activity challenges! Show your library card at the Children’s Desk to pick up your monthly activity board, full of reading and summer activity challenges. We will have two boards this summer; one board for mid-June through July and a second board for August. Each month that you complete your board, you will earn a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize basket! The maximum number of raffle entries is 2 and the winners will be contacted after August 22.

Drop by the Children’s Department and get crafty! A variety of art projects will be available for you to make together. Make sure to sign up for our Summer Activity Challenge!
SUMMER CHALLENGE KICK-OFF PARTY

Join us on the library lawn to celebrate the start of our Summer Activity Challenge! Bring the whole family for lawn games, art activities, bubbles, chalk art and a sweet treat, while supplies last!
END OF SUMMER MOVIE PARTY

Celebrate the end of our Summer Activity Challenge with a movie under the stars! Bring a blanket or chair and join us on the library lawn to watch Mufasa: The Lion King. Popcorn and a sweet treat will be provided, while supplies last.
LIBRARY BOOK SUBSCRIPTION BOX
Ages 5-12
Color Our World Box – Pick up starts July 7 and ends July 11
Looking for something new to read? Do you like free books and snacks? Sign up for our children's subscription box! You will receive a box with a library book selected just for you and a bunch of goodies like stickers, snacks, and more. Return the library book by the due date and everything else is yours to keep! Please add your reading
level in the Special Notes field when registering.
Teen
DIY SLIME AND HOTDOG BAR SUMMER READING KICK-OFF

Sign up for our Teen Summer Reading Club, make some SLIME, and enjoy our hot dog bar! We’ll be serving up delicious hot dogs, but the best part? You get to customize yours with an array of toppings!

Join our Teen Summer Reading Club and try your chance at one of our awesome Raffle Baskets! Baskets will be displayed in the Teen Room starting Friday, June 30. There are several ways to earn raffle tickets:
• Completing our weekly teen scavenger hunts
• Completing weekly email surveys
• Correctly answering our “Question of the Week” in the Teen Room
• Participating in our collaborative mural
• Adding to our Teen Book Recommendation Display
