Any resident of the Brentwood School
District, is eligible for a library card. Proof of residency, ownership or
property or a business is required.
Proof of residency, including name and
street address, is required from one of the following:
New York State Driver’s License.
New York State Non-Driver’s Photo ID.
New York State automobile registration
or insurance card.
Current lease agreement on official form
or letterhead.
Current lease agreement on official form
or letterhead.
Current homeowner’s tax receipt.
Property deed.
Any piece of mail (utility bill, bank
statement, letter) postmarked within the past (two (2) months.
Patrons may now sign up for a temporary library card online. This
temporary card ( valid for 30 days) will give one access to Live-brary ( audio
downloads, movies, ebooks, databases & more!), the ability to reserve items and
register for programs that are not limited to Brentwood Residents. Patrons may
come in to complete the registration process after obtaining a temporary card
and show proof of residency to gain full privileges, gain services that
Brentwood Public Library offers and obtain a physical library card
